Why do a Home Inspection?

Assuring Your Comfort LLC

Why do a home inspection?
What's involved?

A home inspection is a non-invasive visual examination intended to identify observed material deficiencies within specific components or systems of the home.   The inspection is based on observations of the visible apparent condition of the structure and its components on the date of the inspection, yet not necessarily a prediction of future conditions.  In addition, safety and newer technology tips are provided for added potential enhancements.
WHAT DO YOU GET WITH AN ASSURING YOUR COMFORT INSPECTION?  In addition to a through On-site Home Inspection, Educational Walk-Through, and Detailed Written Report, you get a potential optional Follow Up Visit after you move into your home for added maintenance tips, training, and home improvement discussions.
Included in a standard home inspection:
  • Siding, windows, roof, vents, flashings, and trim
  • Skylight, chimney and roof penetrations
  • Grading, drainage, and water penetrations
  • Basement, foundation, and crawlspace
  • Interior plumbing fixtures and faucets
  • Main disconnect and service amperage
  • Grounding and bonding
  • Fireplace damper door and hearth
  • Garage doors and related safety items

  • Eaves, soffits, gutters and downspouts
  • Decks, stoops, porches, steps, walkways, railings
  • Drainage sump pumps with accessible floats
  • Heating & Cooling, water heater systems
  • Electrical service line and meter box
  • Electrical panels, breakers, fuses
  • GFCI and AFCI protection
  • Insulation, ventilation, attic spaces
  • Walkways, driveways
  • Appliances and much more!
